Anthony Weiner would have never lost to Republican Bob Turner "Jerry Springer Show"

In a shocking loss for Democrats this week, New York’s heavily Democratic ninth Congressional district that has never before elected a Republican, cast a majority of votes for Republican Bob Turner. Turner defeated David Weprin, a Democratic State Assemblyman, 53% to 47%, for the House seat vacated by Anthony Weiner who resigned this past June over a sex scandal. The district has 3 times as many registered Democrats as Republicans, and is nearly 40 percent Jewish. Weprin, an Orthodox Jew, was thought to be a perfect fit by his party. However, his earlier support for the controversial Islamic Center in New York and his support for legalizing gay marriage may have played a part in why he lost the seat. Republicans are painting Turner’s victory as a referendum on President Obama.

Oh hold up!, responds Merle Rutledge, "Cut the bullshit, A Republican won, because the people in that district didnt want Weprin, they wanted the person they elected named Anthony Weiner. They are upset at how the Democratic Party treated him, and felt like it was a smack in the face to take away a man that has fought for their interest and represented them, and not just Washington, D.C. You can't replace someone and expect everyone to start running to someone else that they barely know, but it was his district job to replace him, and it should have not been pressured by Washington, and its hyprocrits that still marvel in the same indiscretions in which Anthony Weiner was caught up in, and yes I'll speak out on his behalf. He was a good leader and spoke from his heart, and had the backbone to say what was on his mind through Republican opposition. You gave the Republicans a win, so the district decided to let you have a taste of your own medicine, but at whois expense, more than likely the constituents who didnt support Wespin because they was mad. Former President Clinton said it best that if you make a decision when you made, than you are going to get exactly what you don't want. This is exactly what has happen, and now the district may have to suffer for whatever unnecessary amount of years until redistricting eliminates the seat with Republican rhetoric and answers being relayed to Washington, D.C. The Republicans know that they wouldn't have told any of their representatives or Senators while Obama was in office to leave office if faced with the same scandal and accusations. They would have had his back and stood by him, guess what?, this is exactly what Republicans do. It is no wonder why they have whatever respect and support that they have been getting over some of the most idiotic statements coming out of their party mouth. I'm sorry in a crowd yelling a sick man should die instead of get medical care compared to Weiner indiscretion does not even equate to the seriousness of what is going on in America. Anthony Weiner was the man that was standing their in the fox hole fighting against Republican obstructionism, and didn't mind taking the message to the people. I hope Anthony Weiner, after getting things in order at home, will come back into Politics and give the Republicans as much "Hell" as he can muster. Its obvious if we had more backbone in the Democratic party than this mistake of a Republican getting elected would have not happen. The Democratic Party must find its heart, because "We" Americans are getting kicked, and we don't know whether the Democrats have our back or not, because they spend so much time caving in to bullies. I can tell you this, I agree with Rick Perry that it needs to be some provocative language used, and I will definitely return the favor at any and every turn I make across America. The message is tell the Tea Party to go to hell and stay there. Never call New York anything a "distraction." I guess you are paying attention now. I have love for the Democratic Party, but the Republicans are the only ones sticking up to their principles. When is the Democratic Party going to find some of their own without "caving in." I refuse to "cave in" and maybe we should elect someone that is not a coward and primary the scared sheep.
